The Cyprus Tax Department has announced an extension for the submission of VAT returns and VIES statements, due to the scheduled upgrade of the TAX FOR ALL (TFA) platform.
What’s Affected:
- VAT returns and payments for the period ending 31 May 2025
- VIES statements for June 2025
New Submission Deadline: 29 July 2025
This extension offers taxpayers additional time to submit without facing penalties.
Late Submission Penalties (after 29 July 2025):
- €100 for late VAT return
- 10% surcharge on VAT payable
- €50 for late VIES statement
To avoid penalties, ensure all filings are submitted by the new deadline.
